New look for the sporty

RE: New look for the sporty
Chip,
First off, Sweet Ride! Nice Job!
Second, I've been looking into those Radii pipes of your and have a few questions.
1) will they work with mid controls?
2) Are they TOO loud? I've noticed they have no heat shields or baffles. I'll solve the no heat shields with powder coating but the sound is a concern. I like loud,(Loud Pipes Save Lives)just not raddle my teeth loud.
3) Have you noticed much low end torx loss with them?
Thanks

Dragon919:
1)I'm going to guess they will.
2)They're loud, but they aren't too bad to me. I've got a buddy with a new night train with some short shots with the baffles still in and they're close to the same. Mine may be a tad louder. They're hot as hell. I'm going to heat wrap mine. I already burned my leg twice lol.
3)I haven't really noticed any torque loss. They're stepped pipes, if you notice. The pipe size coming off the head is smaller.

IMHO that is the nicest BALANCED looking bobber I have seen to date. It all goes together really well, good eye. Having spent 3 months in a rigid upper body cast this winter after a pothole encounter I do lean towards getting some suspension back there and feel it would not detract from the looks at all...maybe hide springs in a sleeve?
Of course now you have me thinking I might need a 3rd HD. John

Thanks for the compliments. I just got an Idea in my head of what I wanted it to look like, and tried to make it happen. I wanteda bobber look, but I didn't really want it to look like a junkyard piece.
I'll try to get some more pics, when I get it cleaned up, and finish the last few details.
