Thumbs up

Yup, the 'visor style trim ring' #69735-05 might do the trick.

The headlight attaches to the brow … the brow is attached to the top triple tree just in front of the handlebar risers … no adjustment fore and aft … only headlight adjustment left, right, up, down …

as mentioned the headlight needs to be in front of the windshield

Doing this on an ipad is a pain, so had to make 2 posts. I cannot see ANY adjustment capability on this. Am I missing something?

I have the visor on order, 2 in fact. The HD website was screwing up with paypal and I ended up with 2 orders, so now I have to cancel one.

The interesting thing is that while your shield is qd, like mine, the metalwork is different, also my clamps are closer together on the fork legs. H-D obviously makes two variants. I agree that there doesn't seem to be any scope for adjusting your shield, although it might be possible to modify the upper mountings, where the shield is fastened to the brackets. That would require some skillful butchery, to make the shield lean backwards, taking the lower edge over the headlamp bracket, which is where mine is.

I don't know if you have had a screen apart but the top mounts are slots to allow the screen to fold if the rider hits it. I think you will have to very careful that feature is not affected.

Well I may end up with the light visor and possibly the trim pictured earier in this thread. Cheaper than a new shield. Good to know about the "folding" feature as the thought of hitting that did concern me a bit.

when the visor shows up I will make a test run to see what improvement it makes.

Anyone ever use a full fairing on one of these? How well do those block the wind? The ones I saw sat behind the light completely. I may end up with hard bags on the back anyway so that might not look so out of place.

any chance to post pics of your mounts? Maybe a PO put mounts of from a different model of HD. Would be nice if it were that simple.

My old HD quick detach is different. Can you get something like this?
