Brake clutch lever question

Brake clutch lever question
I have a 2001 883. Replacing the hand clutch and brake lever reservoir controls. Found a cheap generic one on eBay. I overlooked that it’s hydraulic. Can I still use it on my stock bike without the hydraulic set up ? I imagine they will work with the oem set up ?

I have the oem reservoir clutch on the bike now. It was my intent to just get another “better” looking clutch brake reservoir set to attach to the oem brake and clutch cable without having to replace everything.
It it turns out the set I bought on eBay are for hydraulic controls. Not for the regular oem set up.
I don’t imagine I could fashion a way to connect the oem cables to the new hydraulic lever and have it still work without the actuAtor.
I appears the way the cable connects to the levers for the oem style and the hydraulic style are different.

Clearly I am not articulating clearly.
Let me start again. I have a 2001 sportster 883 that has all the stock parts. Nothing has been modified or changed.
I purchased this
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-Handlebar...6a36%7Ciid%3A1
it seems the clutch cable should have a ball of sorts attached to the end of it so it can “pop” in the clutch housing of the eBay set as the nut is spun and tightened around the cable line.
The clutch cable currently on my sportster seems to be attached to a ring where a metal pin holds it in the factory clutch housing.
Im asking if there’s a way to use the set I purchased or if I purchased the wrong ones.
Let me know if the link link doesn’t work

that looks like it would fit.......clutch cable will fit up thru the little spun nut around the cable, the ball end you talk about goes into the hole on the bottom of the housing of the third pic........as you pull the clutch, the ball end gets pulled.............oh wait, your metal ring fits in there......the barrel goes thru the hole and thru the ring on your cable

Now I see what you need. Perhaps you can call Barnett, or Motion Pro and they can make a cable with a "cylinder" end instead of a "ring" end. I guess you could cut/trim yours down, but not sure if you could trust it's integrity, since the load is designed to be spread on the holding pin through the ring rounded end. You'd move the stress point to the "shoulder" of the ring.
It looks just like the standard clutch for Japanese bikes. My friend's dirt bikes all have the same basic clutch perch. The cable end is just a cylinder shape instead of a ball end. Very similar to your throttle cable end at the carburetor.

That isn't a suitable clutch lever for your bike. IMHO the Ebay ad is inaccurate and misleading, as Harley has used the loop style of handlebar fixing for umpteen years. Older models did use a different cable end, but I can't verify the years - certainly my shovelhead used a cylinder, not a loop. I wouldn't try to modify a loop style cable to fit, although you may be able to find a shop who can make up a correct one from scratch.
