If you weren't riding a Sportster, what would you ride?

RE: If you weren't riding a Sportster, what would you ride?
Definatley the classic low sylings of a Road King Custom or the thick heavyfat tire goodness of the Fat Boy are my favorite all time bikes..........
However if it is my money Iam spending I am definatley getting the Honda VTX 1800way more bang for the Buck IMO than a Harley. Cause who cares about resale vaulue when you are buying to ride, and not the name.

I would have bought Kawasaki Ninja 650R. I hadn't even considered HD until I saw the Nightster. Soon as I saw it I went down and put a deposit on a 1200N. That being said, had I opted for the Ninja I would have a bike to ride instead of waiting, and waiting and waiting for the HD dealer here to get mine in. I am sure it will be worth it in the long run, and my wife likes the HD better

Speaking of other manufacturers 'value for the money', here is some information I saved from a recent article dealing with Super Cruisers.
The costs really vary;
HD VRSCDX Night Rod Special, $16,495, 1130cc, stock quarter mile times 12.47 @ 108.
Honda VTX1800F, $14,849, 1795cc, stock quarter mile times 12.90 @ 102.
Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 Classic, $12,999, 2053cc, stock quarter mile times 13.30 @ 100.
Suzuki Boulevard M109R, $12,599, 1783cc, stock quarter mile times 12.08 @ 110.
Triumph Rocket III, $14,999, 2294cc, stock quarter mile times 11.99 @ 111.
Victory Hammer S, $19,747, 1634cc, stock quarter mile times 13.17 @ 99.
Yamaha Star Warrior, $12,549, 1670cc, stock quarter mile times 13.01 @ 100.
Same riders did the tests on the bikes, and they didn't ride them all that hard.
No doubt the times would have been better after the bikes were 'broken in' and if they were ridden to their full potential.
