Washed my bike today after a bit of a Zoolander style gasoline fight... just a bit of spray straight up in the air and on my bike. Not too much. Rode it home 3 blocks and washed her off.
After the wash I took my bike out to air dry at 50 mph and noticed my clutch lever squeaked. Is WD-40 okay or should I use something else, or is this just a completely bad thing that's happening?
I would suggest Tri-Flow, it's a teflon based spray lubricant, it last quite a while, repels moisture and dirt. It also great for throttle and clutch cables. WD-40 will work, but it'll turn to muck pretty quickly as dirt sticks to it very easily.
