Default Jet size for 1200 sportster.

I recently got a hold of an 02 sportster that I thought was an 883 because that's what the title said it was. I pulled the motor out to run it in my rigid frame chopper which had an 883. I'm using the carb that I had already been using, and by doing so I found out that what I thought was an 883, someone converted it to a 1200. I want to use my CV carb on the newer motor but apparently I need to re-jet it. Anyone know I size jets I would need for an 02 1200 with drag pipes?

OEM on my Wife's 04 1200 Custom was 42/160. 45/170 should be just fine. Set the mixture screw all the way in till LIGHTLY seated. Back out 1 1/2 turns. That I'll get ya in the ballpark.

I'd go 45/190 and 2.5 turns out on the mixture screw. I'm running a 45/180/2.5 turns on my 883. Give her some gas.

Just took a look into my carb and found that the main is 175 and the pilot is a 45.

You can go to 190 and then check your spark plugs. Check that mix screw setting too!
