Default Saddle bags?

My wife has an 04 883 with a solo seat. Is there a bag we can put on and keep the solo seat? If you have something that works could you please include pix.

Thanx
Tim

Have you checked with your local dealer? I have standard seat and have the "throw over" bags. They work really well, but aren't very big. Course I don't tend to carry a lot anyway.

We have just started looking, shes getting tired of having to wear a back pack. The throw over we've seen I dont believe will work with her solo seat. But I could be wrong.

Get yourself a set of Easybrackets. Any bag with at least a plastic reinforced back will work. You could also put a thin piece of sheet metal in the bags to add to the rigidity. You can even use the throw over bags with them, but you have to cut the yolk. You will also need to relocate the turn signals. The Easybrackets go for about $150 and are really simple to install and to take off and put on if you want to ride without them or for cleaning.

Not that I'm aware of, but I don't know too much about Harley accessories. It's not too involved. You can get a kit starting at $20. The one I got cost $60 and it attaches them to the lay down license plate frame. Not sure about the '04, but I have a '99 and the wires are in the tail light so I actually needed less wire to move them.

I'm using saddleman semi-ridgid slant bags with easymounts. You do have to relocate the turn signals though. But it's a clean fender look, and detach with the turn of a key leaving only two little nubs that it mounts on. Heres some pics.
