Default Best price for Progressive 412's...

I'll jump on the "what's the best price" thread bandwagon.

Wife and I are both looking for Progressive 412's in 11" chrome (412-4005C). Don't need the heavy duty ones.

Since I am looking at 2 sets I need the lowest price possible.

Who got the best deal and from where? What did you pay?

Thanks.

Well one of the lowest prices I have seen with free shipping over $250.00 is Eastern Performance which advertises on this site. They are around $180 dollars a pair depending on what size and model. Link is here http://www.easternperformance.com/in...amp;cPath=8_43

Eastern Perf. as mentioned is generally the best deal around (I've purchased 2 sets from them and they were always the lowest with free shipping. Otherwise www.mawonline.com has good deals at times on them. I could have saved you some money but I just sold my 11" 412s on another forum for $105 plus shipping (after trying them for the last 7 months) since I moved up to 11.5". If you live in MD since thats where their shop is you'll have to pay tax on them otherwise they've always been at least $20 less than others especially factoring in shipping.

Were the 11" too low? Too harsh? I will be going with these in the future and am trying to bone up on them some.

thanks.

Hey TJ,

I would not say that they were too low but I could scrape easily if I tried. The ride was pretty decent actually for a short shock with limited travel (of course I only weigh about 145). I upgraded to the 11.5" for the simple reason that they were a little better for 2 up riding as the 11" were just too harsh with passenger as it was necessary to run the max preload. We tried the HD version first on the 11.5" but I gotta tell ya that on the lowest setting it was like a rigid and only tolerable with the load of a passenger and even then after talking with Justin @ Progressive he said our combined wgt. of 280 was still not enough to warrant heavy springs so they are swapping my springs out for me on the 11.5". Since I'm getting the springs swapped I'm going to black ones this time and just leaving the chrome top cap for a more blacked out rear end.
The only way to get a super smooth ride is running a long shock like 12.5" or more but I hate the tall look and prefer the low stance.
