We're going to go with 11's and the lower fork springs kit for the wife's Low to give her a little lower stance and better ride. Hers is 100% solo rider and she's pretty light so no issues with bottoming.

Capttawes, when you did put the 11" on, did you have any problems with the belt gaurd or the oil case hitting ? did you have to do anything besides change out shocks ? I am actually looking at lowering mine, ( to be able to have more stability, for my short legs) I have been considering a 10" shock.I have the 1200low.

When I had my 11" shocks on (which I ran for about 6000 miles) I removed the beltguard as it will smack the frame (not the oil tank) over sharp bumps and rub the frame near constantly when carrying a passenger (I liked the looks w/o the guard anyway). Additionally I nothced my front pulley cover back about 3"with a saw to clear the belt....let me explain this one, I'm running std. hgt. progressives in the front and with the rear being lower it changed the angel of the belt in relation to the the top of the pulley cover where it slopes and over hard bumps and with a passenger even with my shock preload set high the belt would actually occassionally rub the inside of the pully cover since it only had about 3/16" clearance. Other folks claimed this never happens but I guarantee that if you have std. hgt. proressive springs in front and 11" or lower shocks in the rear the belt will at some point rub. If you lower the front this negates that difference and you would be fine with 11".

Here's a shot of my bike back when I had 11" shocks....its hard to see but follow the line of the belt in relation to the lowest point of the front pulley/sprocket cover and you will get an idea how close it is and this is with no load on the shocks.....

Hey TJ, I also went with the 11.5 " 412's and it rides great. I have not dragged hard parts on either side since the change. Also did the front springs and fork oil. The bike handles much better especially in the corners.
