Well when I bought my 1200n I had to work into the deal with the dealer a two-up seat so the I could say to the wife it was for us and she would be willing to go down and cosign ect ect.

Anyways that was back in May I ordered the bike and since the day I brought the bike home she has been constantly wanting me to take her for rides.
Yesterday she dropped off the paper work to take the Motorcycel Safety Course and she told me she is getting her own sportster.

Im glad in one way I'm getting my solo seat back but, I'm wondering will I ever see my wife again?

Good for her!

My wife took her MSF just over a year ago and has done over 6,000 miles on her own bike. She started off on a Honda Rebel and now has a 1200L, she's put close to 3,000 miles on that since January. Look out, you could be losing your 1200n.

I know what your going through. I'm a motorcycle nut, and eventually want a couple different ones to suit my mood. My ex-wife would never ride, However, now my girlfreind has been asking me to teach her how to ride mine, and has commented that if I teach her & once she is comfortable with it then I should buy my next/different scoot. Not sure what to do.

Funny, my ex-wife (a.k.a. DX) used to want to ride all the time too, just not me.

She apparently like to ride their motorcycles too.

Probably not. Hehehe. I spend less and less time at home these days and more and more time with the bike.

My wife is talkin' the same. I am going to sign her up for the MSF Basic Riders Crs in August. We'll see. I'd love to be able to buy another bike.

My wife took the MSF with me in March. I had to take it to get my license that didn't get renewed. Thought it would be a great thing to do together. She did great in the class. She had ridden dirt bikes as a kid. Now she has a blue suede and black xl1200n.

You need to post pictures of that bike,I thought the blue suede Nightster was a mith! I would have gotten one if they had it whenI picked mine up. I haven't even seen a picture of one except for the Harley web site. Congrats on getting one.

Here in Washington they have a subsidized class... costs only half. However, the waiting list doesn't open up till like September. I went ahead and paid the $250.00 It was worth every penny.
