The class I took was $250 and worth every penny. I would not recommend anyone who has never ridden to ride without taking the course. Its just too dangerous out there for bikers.
On another note, will you ever see your wife again?? Yeh. But probaby blowing by you on the interstate

Hey, I will post the pics asap. She has a Mazda Miata that is the same color. I have pictures of it next to the Miata. I saw one at the Harley store in Carrollton, TX. Went to our HOG chapter meeting on the first Tuesday of this month and there it was at Longhorn HD in Grand Prairie, TX. I bought my SG at Longhorn. My wife was attending her first HOG chapter meeting that night and they had the seude blue/black on. She called the next day and bought it.

OMG.. dude its just $60 in RI right next to you and +$20 if your from out of state. Mention that to your friends that might need a MSF.
Now as for insurance I have progressive and pay $376 a yr might want to give them a call of course if your driving record sucks or your real young that might explain the exhagerated price you pay.
I'm just wondering between MASS. and your insurance company tag teaming you did you even get kissed?

I started the GF out on a Virago 250, sent her through the MSF, ($215.00) had her put 2000mi. on the Yamaha, and just bought her a used 883. She's extremely happy now, She is only 5' and the 250 was a definite confidince builder(she is adjusting to the weight difference 300-500 lbs.)but she already has her eyes on a Dyna Low.
