Default XL1200T Seat Upgrade Help

Greeting
My wife is riding a 2016 Sportster XL1200T, she is 5'4", the stock seat horrible after 100 miles.
We currently have a Demo Sundowner seat from a local HD shop, seems comfortable after 50 miles, but is taller, now her feet aren't properly touching the ground.
I've emailed and messaged the HD, no response!
Looking for suggested on a comfortable seat for this Sportster, something that is lower in profile, something that will return her feet back to the ground.
Thanks in advance

I use a Mustang and it's much more comfortable than the stock seat, however it will mover her back an inch and up an inch so it may not be a good choice.

A friend bought a Corbin seat for her Lowrider a few years ago and had them shave down the sides so she could touch the ground. They may be willing to work with her to get something to fit. Please note that some have reported shoddy customer service but it has been a while since I have heard anything negative about them so perhaps they cleaned up their issues.

Good luck!

I've just installed a mustang vintage on mine and it definitely pushed me up and back a small amount, no use to your wife I know but thought I'd mention it so you know its taller. As for comfort, I can highly recommend mustang though.

Reduced reach seat

The sundowner is quite a bit wider than the stock seat which is also not helping.

Le Para Bare Bones and maybe spend the extra cash for gel. I have two, with gel and without, and have no preference but others say gel is better. Male, 5'-9", 145 lbs, and have days where I sit on the bike 16 hours straight (minus gas stops). Biltwell also has good looking, low profile seats but I have no experience with those.

That would be a wiser choice IMHO. What a short slightly built person needs is not necessarily a lower seat, but one which is narrower, thereby providing a shorter route to the ground. Think of straddling a pedal bicycle, the seat is narrow, but a long way from the ground. Not a good comparison, but a well padded comfy seat that is narrow in the right places can be more effective than a low wide seat.

The stock seat off of a 1200 custom worked for my wife, she had the dealership trade out the seat off her 2012 custom after riding her new 1200t for about a week and hated the new 1200t seat. They just traded them and the problem was solved, she is 5'4" also.

I am 5'3" and purchased a reduced reach seat for my Roadster. I believe that is what comes stock on a 1200T. Come winter I am going to send it to Sargent Seats for a custom made for me. The Super Reduced Reach Seat (solo) may have been a better choice for me with it's pillion seat as it says in the catalog that it's made for shorter riders. I am convinced I will get a better seat from Sargent.
