Default Progressive Fork springs

Hi.
I have been offered a set of 11-1527 progressive front fork springs they are listed as 04 & up Sportster springs. Does anyone know if they will fit a 2000 model Sportster or will the sizing be all wrong? Steve
forgot to include 1.2 inches OD x 18.5 inches length

Looks like the Same Spring as -1523 (your 2000) ... Just the -1527 Kit comes with a 3" spacer and the -1523 comes with a 2"

You might want to consider a linear rather than a progressive rate spring. See the Sonic Spring website for a rate calculator - I like this one better than the Race Tech calculator but check both for peace of mind.
In fact I just bought some for a XL1200R at .09 Kg/mm
Sonic will also make custom springs in any rate you wish for a reasonable cost

Then again if the progressive rate springs are free give them a go as anything is an improvement over the sadly lacking stock spring

Make sure you set the sag properly

They list the same STD spring for all 2000 (and more) Sportys....except 1200S, which they don't list at all because they are a different animal

Now if the OP wants Heavy Duty springs then they would NOT be the same as the -1527 (They are STD) ...Keeping Apples to Apples

.

We don’t know if he has the 1200S but if he doesn’t and the rest are the same he can make his own spacers to set sag and he is good to go.

I went with a linear spring by RaceTech and couldn't be happier. IMHO, if you're going to go through the effort of replacing springs you might as well get one custom suited to your weight / riding style. Springs aren't all that expensive and progressive springs may be more suited to a wider array of riders whereas a specific linear one may suit you best. Its something I'd look into if I were you, OP.
