Lift ramps for lowered bikes
Hey guys! Only took a couple days of owning my Iron to realize most jack style bike lifts won't fit under the frame. Came up with a cheap, quick solution. Made a 3 piece ramp set up out of 3/4" plywood and some 2x4's. Then bought a motorcycle chock from harbor freight, bolted it to the front ramp and I'm back in business. Figured I'd share incase anyone else ever runs into this issue. Ride up the ramps and into the chock, kick the center section out and use the lift. Simple, but effective.

So if I could do it over again I'd have bought atleast another 2x4 so I could have framed all the way edge to edge, but either way this works out just fine with plenty of stability. I wanted them to be a full 48" wide since I'm shorter and needed the footing as I came up the ramps. So I got a 4x8 sheet of 3/4" plywood from home depot that ran me about $30.
Then I looked up the dimensions of the wheel chock from harbor freight, which ended up being around 34" long. So I used that measurement for how long to make the front ramp(34"x48"). I made the other 2 sections of the ramps an even 28" a piece leaving about 6" of remaining plywood that I thought I may need for a wedge section. However, that ended up being overkill and unnecessary as the bike walks right up the ramps with no issue whatsoever. So I ended up with a 34"x48" and 2 28"x48" sections completing my setup. Here's a picture of just the front ramp top and bottom.
Here's the chock from harbor freight. I couldn't tell you what the difference is between the 2 part numbers, but they certainly seem the same if you click on each link. Looks like I got P/N 61670. Also, the chock doesn't come with hardware to mount it to the boards. I just grabbed a couple 3/8" x 1"carriage bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts to bolt them to the boards.
