The bolt is actually quicker than the 1200 believe it or not. With harley alot of that 14k is simply for the tank badge. Resale wise, all used bikes are suffering so if you plan on keeping it a few years its kinda split. Bolt is also made in usa with metal fenders and gas tank. Like 2wheelwanderer said the bolt is probably the better bike(yamaha is currently #1 in reliability) but if you really are set on a harley then the 48 is the only harley.

cycle world test bolt 46.2 hp 1/4 13.78 @ 93.47
Roadster 65.4 hp 1/4 13.61 @ 96.38
The xl1200 is faster but kinda like fighting over who has the fastest, basset hound
Touquey bikes are deceptivly quick on the street but if you want fast you don’t ride a stock v twin cruiser.

You may want to look into a slightly used motorcycle and you can have one in 6 months or so with your savings. I got my 2011 with 5k miles for 7 thousand. After you buy it used, you will have money to upgrade it and make it your own.

He said 13k so he's Canadian. It's a new account and talking about yammys. I forecast a 60% chance of troll, with a 20% chance of never gonna answer back.

Talking

Thank you for all the advice. I will have to make my final decision once i actually ride one of these. I would love to see a race of these two with only stock parts. Anyways, I appreciate the quick feedback.
