Yeah mine is the same way. I didn't ride dirt bikes till the 70s. Had a 1955 Vespa in 1958. I was 14.Rode the wheels off that scooter. Finding neutral on the hand shift on the left grip was easy.

you had to be one tough son of a gun to ride dirt bikes then. That was when sportsters were dirt bikes.
