Good Things About Yur Harley.

RE: Good Things About Yur Harley.
Over 8000 miles and several long trips, she hasn't given me any trouble other than a leak at the oil sensor after a 2 month hibernation in the garage due to weather. Easy fix and it would have been avoided by starting it up once a week. Lesson learned. Other than that I haven't had any issues. 2003 XL883C.

Looks like you can tote a lot of garbage in those bags tho.
Paper or plastic?

Wow, I guess I have higher expectations... Especially on almost a $35,000 bike... I think the chrome work sucks (poor quality), the valvetrain noise is killing me, the 110ci runs way too hot, poor quality leather, leather rippling on the saddle bags, etc...
There should be alot more accessories and parts installed on a CVO SE bike than there is. I wrote a 6-page letter to the H-D CVO Team and put my $0.02 in...
Only thing cool about my Harley is it looks good froma distance.

RE: Good Things About Yur Harley.
My '05 1200 conversion has been rock solid for nearly 3 years now. I've changed some things (actually, a lot of things) on it to suit my riding style, but nothing because of an issue. Overall, it's been a good, all-around motorcycle; nothing extraordinary, just a good riding bike. I'm currently shopping for a new ride. I won't buy another Sportster, but only because I want something different next time.

My 1992 XLH 1200 has done 42,000 miles since being rebuilt at 20,000 miles because the previous owner left the blanking plugs in when they converted the carb and the engine overheated which required a top-end rebuild.
My 1998 1200 95th Anniversary Custom is such a fine looking piece of engineering and goes and sounds even better than she looks and always turns heads, like only a Harley can.
In 25,000 miles I have just replaced the front down pipe and had some clutch work done.
I have been riding Harleys for 13 years all the year round in all weathers and generally they are reliable as long as they are serviced.
