Mine's been great but did give me a scare recently. For a few weeks it was a little slow starting especially when hot. Then a couple of weeks ago with 5 of the guys waiting in front of my house waiting for our Thursday night ride, she wouldn't start. Push the button and nothing. Long story short, cleaned the battery connections and fires up like it was brand new. Had I performed a little preventative maintenance I could have avoided a little embarrassment. Other than that, she's been flawless.

My bike is wonderful. Any "problems" have been more new owner problems than bike problems.

Theone thing I have had happen, i.e. the battery cover was more of a nuisance than anything. A quick fix and no more "problem".

 

Best thing about my HD...... The only sound (language) I here when riding is ENGLISH.

 

Yeah, but the front tubes still speak Japanese...

 

Yea, but they don't make any noise, need to be fed rice or require me to pay for their education or medical benefits.

I have an '01 1200XLH. I commute on it. I go for long distance rides, cross country even. It starts every time. I replaced the battery once. Runs great. it is a great bike.

 

The only thingI don't like about mine is it looks like eveybody elses.

 

12,000 on my '05 1200C and no complaints here.Sometimes I get to thinking I "need" a big twin of some variety but then I remember all the miles I logged on my yamaha 650 maxim and I realize that I've got it pretty good. Here's to the next 12,000 miles [sm=icon_cheers.gif]
