Same here but I don't trust it. It will show my range being 50 kms and then something like 25 kms or 30 kms a second later. Even with the sensor, I still use the trip A / B method for range. It's simple enough and works well.

I've found the range feature to be very accurate. The problem with the trip meter is that it doesn't account for riding conditions. I've done long stretches at different speeds with considerable differences is fuel usage. The range meter will account for riding patterns the trip meter won't.

Also, make sure your tank size is selected correctly in the configuration. I've read a couple of stories where they didn't have the correct tank size selected and reading was obviously way off.

the fuel level sensor works great with the digital speedo analog tach. I love it. The range changes based on my riding habits.

My 17 Ultra Classic gets about 180 miles per tank the way I like to ride. I have gotten 200 to 210 miles out of it but its very conservative riding dont do it much HDs are fuel hogs thats for sure

I have had 3 1200 sportsters, never recorded mpg in the 30's, 42-52. Wife had an 883, usually 48-55 mpg. The lights are not known for accuracy. Use your trip meter, fill the tank to the brim, ride and see how much you can fit in at the next fill up.

Ok I’ve got a 2017, 1200 custom with a 4.5 gallon tank Now I’ll get about 140 miles before the fuel light comes on and a quick run to the petrol station will find me still having about a 1.3 gallon in the tank.

So I guess I’m getting around 43-45 a gallon and that’s just wizzing round ,rolling on the throttle with no particular rush to get where I’m going,

But if I ride it like I stole it ( Well not that bad ) or 2 up with the wife, that’ll bring me down to 40 a gallon and bring the light on at 120.

Hope that helps ya out with some comparison

Had to experience to see myself. I ran it dry at 92 miles. It seems to be below average compare to what everybody seems to get with their sporty. I believe there’s something wrong. Can a bad fuel pump be the problem?

92 doesn't sound right at all. Could the tuning be out? Do you know if the bike has been tuned with a fuel tuner?

im not sure about the history of the bike as I bought it used off a dealer. Could tuning it fix the issue? If so how does it work?
