How many miles with a full tank?

I was riding up to 80 miles until I start noticing problems (as stated in first post) Do you ever experience these problems on city rides? Especially taking off from red lights?

I've got a 3.3gal installed on my 2014 Forty-eight and I've remapped the setup with an FP3. I typically get about 55-65 miles (85-105km) before the light kicks on. But when it does, I don't notice a performance change. Personally, I'd be less worried about your fuel consumption and why it's lagging when you get down the last gallon or so. Maybe something is up with the fuel pump?

My wife has a 2012 48. Light comes on at 64 miles or so. Since she thinks any light on is bad (AND don't you dare tell her otherwise or there might be a fight!!!), We stop and fill. I "believe" it still has 40+ miles or so to go without issue, But we start looking for a gas station as soon as that light comes on (Cause... If mommy ain't happy, ain't nobody happy) !. I have a 2006 1200 Custom, and I top off right after she does, but it's all good!
As always, your mileage may vary and probably does!

The problem with the Sportster and mileage is that terrible low fuel light. Because I do a lot of touring on my bike, I installed the fuel level sensor which gives you range to empty. I've got a 2014 1200C with 4.5g tank. I now get a very accurate range reading. On highway rides I've been able to get 285km (178 miles), out of my tank before filling up. And there's still about a liter left (20km), at that stage, so I suspect I could get 300km (187 miles), quite easily if I wanted to risk it a bit.
It annoys me that Harley still don't provide a decent fuel gauge/range on Sportsters. They have all the hardware necessary. Ironically we'll probably see the end of the Sportster (as we know it), before that upgrade will come.

Farthest I've gone on a tank before filling up was 168 miles, that is with the 4.5 gallon tank. The low fuel light had been on for maybe 20 miles or so. Running summer blended gasoline I average around 56-60 mpg, on winter blended gas that drops to 50-53 mpg.
My son on his Iron normally averages around 45-50 mpg, of course he runs it harder than I do. He has seen as bad as 30-40 mpg when he runs it real hard. His low fuel light normally comes on around 90-100 miles.
