i hsve a 1998 1200s wirh 4 plugs on the head s. had my 14 year old rout battrey went to put new one in there is hot and negative wires but also a smallar wire goes to the battrey what sibe pos ...neg

There is a small chance he wants to know which side the positive and negative cables go on. Not sure though.

Most likely charge wire from regulator or if equipped for a battery tender. So most likely positive side
