SE air cleaner.. installing now, directions somewhat suck
does the stock backing plate with the scoop not get used with the SE a/c? is the air sucking in thru the back side of the new backing plate?... something isnt makign sense to me..
essentially what i am asking is does the SE a/c use the scoop or only suck in air on the back side or the intake?

Your lucky you got instructions. I did'nt get any paperwork.
I used the new backing plate that came with the SE stuff. You leave off the old backplate with the scoop. The spacers go between the outside air cleaner cover(chrome) and the air cleaner. Do'nt forget to remove the rubber trim from the chrome outer cover. It could fall off and stick to the side of the motor. Per the dealer who did the reflash on the ECU. Sorry I hit something and the print changed. Do Not forget to torque all the bolts back to factory spec and use the red loctite where appropiate.
