I put the S/E's in - I was told the pipe sits better in them - IMHO the S/E's are easier to work with too -

Looks like you're getting about a 50/50 response. I just installed a set of straightshots on my '03 1200 and used new stock HD gaskets. They're pretty inexpensive.
I couldn't imagine the SE gaskets are much more, so pick up a set and you should have no worries.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I'm going with the SE gaskets. I'm now waiting to hear from V&H forwhatjetting kit I should get for these pipes.

Sounds good, boxcar.

You might check with your dealersip. They've probably installed a bunch of these pipes already and may already know what jet to use on your application.

I know when I installed my SE IIs my bike ran fine (but louder). It wasn't untilafter installing the new AC setup I have that they had to rejet.

Not sure on how it is with the '05s though... Maybe you won't have to worry about it [8D]

I talked to the dealer yesterday about the bike I have. When they put the stage 1 on (SE II pipes + A/C) they never rejetted just readjusted the carb. No wonder damm thing farts!
