I have made my mind up, if I ever get another bike I am keeping my sportster. It just has so much acceleration and agility compared to everything else. I love riding it.

Thanks! I thought I was never going to ride it, but I put 150 miles on it in the past day. She runs like she is brand new!

Keep me in mind if for some reason you ever want to sell it.

I love those old Shovelheads, especially when they are in great condition like yours..

You are second on the list. I took it to my local indy to have the carb rebuilt/cleaned because it has been sitting for a year or two. The mechanic took one look at it and wanted to know if I had the title with me. I said, wait I just want the carb rebuilt (only $75) I dont want to sell it!!

I can't remember how many times I wanted to trade in my 1200 for a Street Glide, when I look at my 1200, I ask myself a question, do I really need a SG? My Sportster looks the way I like and pretty happy with it. I will keep it for a while, sure one day SG or RK will be my second bike.
Celtlion, nice Glide you have, it looks really hot.
Man, you sound JUST like me! I have finally made up my mind that my Sporty will always have a home at my house. The SG will be the "second bike". My 1200 is everything I want in a MC. The Street Glide is just so my wife and I can travel long distances a little more comfortably.

I got a Brand New Lock, but so far looks like it stays in the blister pack.

Hi, Thanks everyone for your input,I'am glad I'am not the only one who thought about trading up.
The stage one brings the fire out of the 1200 and I was impressed and still am.
If I ever decide to trade up it will be for comfort not *****. Yes I was looking at the wieght difference and it is not that much between the street bob and the 1200, axle to axel and seat hight, however the motor is the biggest difference that I can see ,6 speed trans and about 350 cc's , I 'am not sure on the gearing. But I don't think the difference is worth twice the money now that I took a good look at it, the blue book says my 1200 is worth around six grand + or - and you know what the stealer is going to give you... OUCH!!! so I would be better off keeping the bike anyway... Dam that fever!
