The second image is what the harness plug that you pictured looks like.

Mine is 2019, but I saw a lot of different things on mine than what the manual said, including the entire rear light schema.
Check out my ECM connector, 10 (sensor ground) and 12 (fuel level signal) are missing.

Seems I will need to do the same thing you did. Can you provide the details of how you " So I had to get creative and pick up the fuel signal from the resistor connector and run a wire from that to pin 12 of the ECM." as you can see I do not even can put a pin/wire there the housing is closed.

PS: This my CAMBUS 41000326A

Despite the order of the colors of the wires in the diagram for 2018, if you pay attention, the position and colors match both 2018 and 2019 connectors.

The ECM 41000326a is for the 2019 model, but this connector that I have missed these 2 wires (the pin housing is closed). And the female cluster connector looks like the one for 2018. WTF Harley did with my bike.

By the way, just checked the 2018 and 2021 catalogs, same ECM of 2019 41000326A.
2017 uses ECM 41000326 with the "A".

Seems I have 2 options:

1. Make a jumper from 4 to 5 and see if works.
or
2. Pull a wire from position 12 on the ECM connector to position 5 on the cluster connector.

What do you think?

I checked on my bike:
[141] Connector (Fuel Pump), has all wires.
[200] Connector (Resistor Assembly - Fuel Level), has all wires.
[20] Does not have the wire 5 (fuel level signal)
[78] Does not have wires 12 ( fuel level signal) and 10 (sensor ground)

I think you will have to do the same thing that I did to my wife's bike. I'm at work, so give me a sec to get back to you.

Yikes! @imh @007Duc ..you're making me nervous now. I ordered my speedo and fuel level kit last week. The kit is in stock but the speedo is on back order till August.
@imh ..that difference is indeed frustrating. And it's a big one compared to what is claimed in the manual. How easy is it to access the ECM connector cable (the one that you showed with the 10 & 12 pin missing)? I'm wondering if I can check my 2020 883N to confirm as well, but just don't have the time to get down and dirty for the next two months.

Thanks for the all input, this thread has been amazing in terms of support.

OK, so at the fuel resistor assembly that you highlighted in the wiring, you installed the jumper from kit 61200008A that deletes the resistor and jumps pins 1 and 2. What I did was grab the fuel level signal from the yellow wire pin 3 from the resistor plug because it is not used in the kit 61200008A but the connector they give you has a slot for it, and I ran a wire from that pin to the pin 12 of the ECM plug 78A. I believe that's the black plug. I cut out that block off that's part of the connector back plate and bought the style of female pin the ECU uses and crimped that to the wire that I ran to that slot so it would lock in to the connector. That resistor plug is right next to the ECU so it's a short wire to run. Not like running an entire wire from the ECU up to the instrument connector, and effectively does the same thing.

@007Duc ..did this do tye trick for you, or did it still not work? If this worked and my ECM is the same as @imh , I can try doing the same. Thanks a lot for the info.

it is easy only need to remove the battery cover does need to remove anything else, you need to disconnect the black one, not the grey.

Looking at Softtail diagrams the [78]12 is connected directly to the fuel pump [141]2.

The 61200008A is made to be used with the 70900475 (Digital Combination Speedometer / Tachometer - MPH/km/hr), seems all plug and play, the instruction for the 70900475 are super simple.

I thinking about moving forward to connect the [200] 3 to [78] 12, I found the connector 72511-07BK [200] uses pins 72169-07, and the connector 72664-12A [78] socket terminal 72666-12.

I hope I can test this in the following days, I'm going to travel Sunday and will be out of the country for 2 months.

I'm still waiting on the ECU from Harley Davidson. It's on Backorder. I have spoke with a digital Tech from my local harley dealer who is almost as excited as I am to see if this works. The service writers don't like to let you talk to the techs, but I got through to one. LOL
