Default New mustang vintage solo seat is here...

so after 30 yrs of swearing i'd never put a huge uncool looking seat on one of my bikes, i had to order one and it actually doesn't look bad at all.
i sold my road king last month so i'm only going to have my 48 for the summer & i needed to put a long distance seat on it. i finally had to give in to practicality and not coolness lol. after a lot of research, i chose the mustang vintage solo over the HD sundowner.i hope it's as comfortable as ive read here in the forums.
so now that i'm happy about the looks, i'll take a trip out to Montauk and test it out tomorrow. round trip should be about 225 miles, 4- 4 1/2hrs... ...i think the bigger 3.3 tank and the bigger 7" headlight balance out the size of the seat so it doesn't look too huge.
i'll report back tomorrow night how my *** did...

Your bike looks great! Can I ask where you got the handlebars? They seem to be exactly what I’m looking for as a replacement for mine.

That seat looks in proportion with the rest of the bike. Looks very comfy too. The first thing my eye goes to is the massive front tire, not the seat. Nice purchase. Looking forward to hearing your review after the tour.

Just don't be upset after your first ride that your tush is not totally sold on the seat. It takes a good 500 miles to really break it in. But trust me you'll never want a different seat, it's the most comfortable seat going and I think they're good looking too.

well, tomorrows trip will be half the battle then.
i had a lepera chubbs and it sucked. i'm willing to give this seat a chance since it's not that bad looking.

Mustang redesigned the seat styling for the rubber mounts, and boy does it look better than the Wide Vintage Solo I had on my '99 883. It was comfortable but looked really goofy on it, didn't compliment the lines on the bike at all. The rubber-mount Wide Vintage Solo seats look way better IMHO...
