What seems hot to one person might not seem hot to another. Ride a PGR mission where the escort goes no more than 15 mph and the temp outside is over 100 and you will experience hot.
This is another example of a new Harley rider saying his bike is running hot. How hot is HOT? Experienced riders develop a sense for what is too hotbut until you develop that sense, if you think your bike is running hot, you should get one of the oil temp dipsticks. That will give you the ability to put a real number on the temperature and something to work with. As a bonus, the temp dipsticks are easier to remove than the original factory ones.
Remember it's summer and you're straddleing an air cooled engine.
