Sportster leaking at primary/clutch cable
Hey guys and gals,
We picked up a Sportster a few weeks ago for the Mrs and have been trying to iron out a few details. Replaced battery and now a few other things, adjusted the carb and now she fires right up. Now, however, we have a leak I am not sure how to fix. It's coming from clutch cable into the primary. Where the nut meets the primary there is no leak, so I am ruling out oring failure. Any other ideas on a remedy for the issue. The first picture you can see the oil seeping from the fitting, the other is the seepage since last night.

Pretty common. Mine did it for a long time.
There's an O ring between the case and cable but it can also leak where the sheathing of the cable meets the nut the threads into the case. If you pull on it and it's loose or comes out of that tube you can replace the cable or remove it and put some epoxy or gasket maker on it and push it back in.
