For every person that complains about the stock seat, there are probably ten other owners that don't have a problem with them.
I for one thought the stock seat on my '05 1200C was very comfortable.
It's not like Harley is forcing anyone to purchase their products.
If you don't like a specific bike, or how it 'feels', or if it might be uncomfortable to your body shape, the answer is very simple;
Don't buy the bike.

But I've also never had a 'normal type' job where you sit around 8 or so hours a day in a nice comfortable chair.. If so, maybe I would have become spoiled and expect a more 'cushy ride' while out on a Harley.
I'd probably last less than an hour if someone caged me in an office inside some building.
