Recently removed exhaust system and had it ceramic coated black. Trying to reinstall the back pipe, with muffler attached as how i removed it. When attaching into head, the pipe swings out not allowing the muffler to aline on the bracket, causing no connection anywhere. Any suggestions...what am I missing, do I have to take th3 muffle off and then reattach after connecting the pipe to the head?

 

yes, take it apart, youll need to reinstall it with the bolts loosely at first and then gradually work them tighter to get everything to snug up.

 

Be gentle and careful with the headpipe studs, and check to make sure it's all lined up with the exhaust ports as you tighten the nuts.

tighten it all AFTER you've got it all together. mufflers may need some lube or the tabs spread to motivate the to get on the headers
