Question Recommendations for back seat & back rest for a Forty-Eight?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking into getting a back seat and a back rest for my 2017 Forty-Eight. I'm moving to Cali and wanna be able to take my girl on rides. I don't currently have rear pegs, but I have all the bolt mount points obviously.

Any recommendations that people have used? I'd want the back seat to be detachable or at least separate from the main front seat, preferably, but it's not a deal breaker.

Thanks!

I have 16 48. Bought a Sundowner seat and passenger pillion (not really removable) for about $350 the seat is way better than stock and the passenger pillion is comfortable enough for my wife. Got a detachable back rest off of Amazon for about $100 plus $30 for the docking hardware also on Amazon.

How easy or hard was the installation of the seat?

There are tons of choices and it all really depends on personal preference.

Here are a few options...Mustang Wide Tripper Solo Diamond Stitched with or without backrest and diamond stitched passenger pillon with or without HD quick release backrest.

OR since you have a solo seat try a 2-up like this and put a passenger backrest....although don't think your lady will like the comfort on this 2-up.

I am using a Mustang Wide Vintage Solo with Backrest now. Did not get the pillon since the wife refuses to ride. A lot of brands and types.....have fun shopping.

Cake walk. Just undo the bolt on the fender behind the seat push forward on the seat and it will lift right off.

I run a two-up seat and small sissy-bar for my girlfriend. Also installed 12inch progressive shocks for more comfort. The stock shocks were 11inch and terribly uncomfortable. Not sure what your bike comes with in terms of shocks...
