Vance and hines exhaust
So I'm sure someone has already posted asking about this but figure I'd post for myself (sorry) I have a sportster 883 2017 do I really need to get the fuel tuner first before I get the vance and hines short shots. Would like to get the exhaust then the tuner at a later date. Is there a noticeable sounds compared to having the tuner and not having one?

Derf is correct. One little tip: If you get both and need the tuner, don’t waste your money on that crappy one from from HD that only the dealer can do. It’s not that great & you can’t even see what it is doing, or re-tune yourself. Waste of money. Don’t let them talk you into it. Get the V&H FP3 on Amazon, or the power vision from Fuel Moto USA. Most on this forum recommend the PV, because it is technically a little better, and can be used with a Dyno Jet professional tune, which you really don’t need, unless you become a huge upgrade wrencher. For a novice on a sporty who just wants the basic stage one air and pipes upgrades, the FP3 is great. It works well and has some cool features. It also is a download on your phone so you don’t need a separately mounted gauge unit. Either is great. Just don’t fall for the screamin eagle download version from the dealer for $350. Ripoff.

Also,...the short shots are LOUD! Sound great, but prepared to be mentally exhausted after a long ride. I had them once. Ear plugs may be in your future
