Default Rear Turn Signals Not Working

I recently purchased a DK Custom LED tail light for my 2011 48. I decided against the plug and play version because I wanted the strobe module and I also wanted to learn a bit about electrical. I removed my stock rear lights altogether and in the process I snipped the wires a little too far and now I have exposed wiring (black purple and blue) where the rear lights attached to.

So after getting everything seemingly hooked up correctly, I decided to test things and I got a spark and heard a small crack. My rear turn signals are now not working (the front still work fine) and I'm not sure whether the problem happened because of exposed wiring or not because I wasn't able to test them before I got the spark. My headlight did also stop working but after replacing a blown fuse it works fine but still no rear turn signals. Every other feature on the LED light works great. Running light and strobe brake light function perfectly but when I turn the left or right blinker on, the right or left half of the light just goes dark.

I've been working with DK for a few days trying to diagnose the problem w/ no luck. I'm not really sure what to do from here. I tested the wires from the bike that should be powering the rear blinkers (brown and purple) and am getting no signal, so I think the problem is not the strobe module or the tail light. I'm hoping to get this fixed without paying someone else to fix it. Pics for reference

The first thing I would do is place a cap on the exposed wire ends and tape it up.

Looks like a RBT module that you are wiring. Input side seems fine.

Not sure what kind of LEDs you have....is your LED wiring red and black on each side? Are they single element? How is your run and brake wired?

This is my LED tail light. This is the module. DK confirmed that I have it set up correctly. I think the problem could be a short or maybe I fried something. There is no signal going to the turn signals from the bike.

I run the Radius RBT module from DK and mine went bad twice....so may very well be the module. I am on my third module. If you can, try rewiring and take the module out of the equation and see if the LEDs work as it should. If it is the module, DK Custom will back up their product and send you a replacement after they have the bad module tested. Good luck.

Just my $0.02 but I'd loose those quick connectors and solder/heat shrink those connections right away, those quick connectors will give you problems in the future and usually at the most inconvenient time possible.

Update: I got the new module in and I'm having the same problem. Help!

Edit: I took care of the unused wires

Edit 2: I started to unwrap my wire tuck so I could check connectors etc and when I was wiggling the wires that run to my DK LED push start ignition, a loose connection caused my problem to basically reverse. When I held the wires a certain way, instead of everything but the rear blinkers working, the rear blinkers worked but the run, brake and license plate lights stopped functioning. I'm wondering if this could be a problem a load equalizer could fix? After I tightened the loose connection I couldn't get the rear blinkers working again.

This is the wires that run to the push start
The connection my finger is pointing to is the one that was loose

Just get rid of all those quick connectors, for now just wrap the wires together and put one wrap of electrical tape on each so they don't short out and then test the it. Most likely everything will work if you have wired it properly, if so go back and solder all the connections and shrink tube them, once soldered you will never have a problem with that connection again.
