Looking good man. Don't second guess the mikuni, throttle response is superior to the keihin and I guarantee you'll love it. I just put the mikuni on a few months ago and it's great.

How do you like that smaller wind shield / faring on your bike ? How functional is it ?

it works great. I had the h-d quick detach and itwas just right to be wrong I am 6ft1 and the windshield caught me just right to get terrible buffetting . the 1/4 fairing sends enough air up and over that I no longer get buffetting and my helmet dont feel like its going to shake my head off. the down side is you do catch more bugs than with a full windshield but nothing to bad.

But I'll warn ya, the mikuni is a pain in the a$$ to install, it's bigger carb and has a tighter fit between the heads, I also had to relocate the voes, but it was all worth it. And if you do get the mikuni, you'll most likely need to rejet it, as it's pretty lean out of the box although it says it's ready to go with high flow a/c's and exhausts. I jetted mine with a 22.5 pilot, 96 needle on center notch, and a 165 main, and found this is the same jetting a lot of guys are running on the mikuni's with some variation of the needle setting, so you may wanna keep this as reference as a good starting point if you do get a mikuni.

And I'm ol' school, i tuned the bike the old fashioned way by ear, spark plugs, and test ride. I have a few freinds who have had dyno tunning after I tuned their bikes first, and they only gained about 1-2hp by dyno tuning. But I guess I have the benefit that I've worked on engines since I was a kid so experience has served me well, and dyno tunning is a waste of money for me.

Interesting intake. I'd never do that to a Harley. If your happy with it awesome!

There are 2 things I wouldn't change on a Harley.

A weird intake other than the oval or round a/c or going gay with the horn cover.

thats ok buddy I dont have a horn cover and I dont wear fingerless gloves so I am a negative two on the gay factor and I would never put a pokie dot bandana on my head ,but if your happy with it awesome.[sm=deal.gif]
