I looked up a breakdown for the sportster, if I am understanding everything the entire system which is responsible for ignition of fuel is as follows
battery
ignitiion module
wiring harness
coil
plug wires
plugs
is that correct? If so is it safe to assume my ignition module is at fault? Considering you can’t test them from what I have read

Im probably not 100% correct, but the difference between the ICM you and i have (04 - 06) and an ECU is application. ICMs are used to control ignition timing in carburetor bikes, ECUs are used to control ignition in fuel injected bikes (07 and later sportys). Im sure someone else will chime in with a more complete/correct answer though.
