sportster exhaust by decibels

hey looking for an exhaust, slip on or full that is under 90 decibels at idle for my iron 883. thanks in advance!

I'm not sure how quiet the stock system is, but what sort of system are you looking for? A feature of Harley owners is that many of them really want to waken the dead, rather than slip by without disturbing anyone!

Probably Harley’s SE street cannon slipons would fit that criteria but I would just drill a 1/2” hole in the baffle plug. If you still want a bit louder go to 3/4”. It will give a bit more growl without being too loud.

My 883L is fitted with StraightShot slip-ons and re-wrapped baffles (the longer ones) - I doubt very much it is 90db or under.

On the UK models the stock db level is indicated on a label on the front downtube of the frame.

Vance & Hines has a 2 into 1 Upsweep that is supposedly on the quieter side. I considered them but found out they fit only with mid controls and I have forward controls.

Stay away from these

these are not even close meter reads beyond Dbs. But it is what it is. There very throaty but not obnoxious I've been told neighbors even like them and I live in large mostly retired area. Good luck. Wild Bill
