Yeah it sounds great on paper, but I've been scouring the internet for days looking for reviews on them. They are far and few in between. Hopefully someone can chime in.

lewk - what shocks are you running?

I am short, with an inseam of 29". So I have 13" shocks with 1" lowering blocks. When wearing my riding boots (1" soles) I can almost flatfoot.

My bike is the 2007 XL1200L that came with 11.5" shocks. They are awful. So for $50 on eBay I got a pair of Sportster 13" shocks that someone took off from a 2007 XL1200R (the old roadster). As it stands, with the angle, the sag and the lowering blocks, the 13" shocks are well under 12" in length.

I am also not heavy; with FF helmet, leather jacket and boots I am about 150lbs. That is why the Roadster shocks are adequate for me. Also, because I wanted to keep the visceral riding experience of my sportster I didn't buy expensive shocks that give great performance. But if I did, I would consider DK Custom's 12" Bitubo and combine them with 1" lowering blocks.

I also shaved off some foam from my seat to sit myself lower. That's only because I don't do long rides. Foam is crucial for long-term comfort but most of my rides are under 1hr, so my *** doesn't take a beating.

Sounds good, I'll take a look into the Bitubo shocks. I'm hearing great things about them.
