No, the battery in the Sportster was an AGM battery the previous owner fitted God knows when. I could not find a date of manufacture on it. I tested the battery, had it tested at the shop: no good.

I do like AGM batteries, I have them in five vehicles, but when I felt the weight of the lithium battery, I was won over! That's what I bought.
