Wish they still offered the "R" model in the 2008 4.5 gallon tank configuration.

I'm a big fan of the fat tire 1200 Customs. My ladyfriend picked this one up last winter. Its a 2014 that only had 2800 miles on it. I was kind of jealous after I rode it home, but I wouldn't trade it for my 2008 1200R

Nice looking bike. I loved my 1200 Sportster, wish I would have kept it.

We carried on getting the 883R until 2015. Jus' sayin'......

But I agree THAT is the recent model I most admire.

I've got a red '12 XL1200CP ready to put up for sale - had just rescued it out of Clearwater as Irma was approaching, then found a candy orange '14 locally with all the stuff on it I wanted at a great price.

Turns out my new used bike is actually a CP (Custom Program) instead of a mere C (Custom), which means the original owner got it through that HD customization program. I didn't know it until I did a VIN check.

That's great. I guess.

Yeah, my red '12 is a CP and came with the mini-apes. Kelly blue book shows them worth a little more, probably because they'll have something extra on them. Mcorbeil, your GF's blue one is nice! Let me know if she'd trade for my red 2012 with all the extras. I love the 1200 Customs with the fat tire!!

She's pretty fond of blue but I asked her anyway. Her response was "No, I already have red hair, I don't want a red motorcycle too."

Yeah, I'm loving mine. Just drove it home from the dealer, made it a two-day trip up Hwy 98, a cool, Florida coastal road. Twist the throttle and you're up to 75 before you know it. Comfy as hell, too. Love the apes! First mod, Rush slip-ons, even though this damn thing sounds good stock.
