Default Anyone ever want to switch...

Does anyone ever want to trade their sporty for a Buell? I really like the Firebolt and sometimes I miss the power and handling of my CBR600 I had a few years back? But then again I do like the comfort of the sporty...guess I need more power

I never considered it as a solo bike, but it'd be nice to have one for occasional fun rides. I almost bought a buell lightning touring model a few years ago, it had raised bars and midcontrols, actually set up and looked just like ducati tour bikes. The touring version is probably the only way I could consider one for a daily rider, but i've only seen a touring version that one time. Although if I did want a crotch rocket, i'd take a ducati over a buell anyday, they handle a lot better.

Lucky me I still have my 03 CBR 600RR. I usually switch during the week to go to work or school on either one, but on the weekends it's usually the sportster that I ride most just because I just recently purchased it. Since my CBR was my first bike and my commuting bike for the last 2 years I can't bring myself to sell it.

A buddy of mine has a Buell. I rode it once, way too uncomfortable for me. Guess I'm too old for that type of riding. If you want more power, do the 1200 engine conversion.

I was in the same position as you. I was considering trading it for a new XB12R when the 07's came out. I really like the red and black version, and they are fun bikes to ride.

The fuel in frame and big front brake rotor do impress me a lot, intelligent design. If I can own 4 bikes, will consider lol.

nope. never have given it a thought.

I would never trade my sportster for a sport bike.

However, I would love to ADD a ducatti hypermotard 1100 to the stable. That bike looks like fun. Kinda like ducatti's sportster.
