Nightster and PCIII

Nightster and PCIII
Hi all! I have been trolling the boars since mid March when I purchased my Nightster. Since than, I have done a few mods and added a PCIII. I have installed the canned DJ map for my config, but the bike runs like ***. With the new map (MP187-006), my bike dies at idle and stumbles hard on acceleration. I am actually to the point where I am about to download a custom “heel of my boot” map and be done with it! I was wondering if any of you have a map for a 1200 sporty using the SE AC and V&H ShortShots. I have heard the map by Jamie at FuelMoto is a good one, but I have had no luck finding it. Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks!

RE: Nightster and PCIII
I would also like to know of a PCIII map for the combo of SE A/C and V&H ShortShots for an 07 1200.
I'm looking at buying a PCIII in the next 2 weeks just to richen up my bike slightly to run cooler in florida heat, and then in another 2 weeks or so, add the SE A/C and V&H ShortShots. May take me an extra week to afford being able to have it dyno tuned so just looking around for a good map that I could atleast get started with once add the exhaust and a/c.
When looking at the PCIII site with maps, it was the MP187-006 that I figured I would use temporarily until could get dyno tuned, but if it didn't work, I'm wondering what options I would have.
I emailed fuel moto last week but still no response. I was asking about if I bought a PCIII through them, if they would provide me with future custom maps as I upgrade my bike from stock. Anyone know if they will or not? I know it will come with a map that he adds from start but I'm wondering if he will provide me with custom maps down road for free.
Thanks

RE: Nightster and PCIII
Well, MP187-006 is WAY leaner in almost ever cell than the base map, which makes no sense to me. If I am increasing intake and exhaust, why would I use a leaner map??? Dunno.... I increased my low range F/A by 5 percent and it helped, but I know there is a good map out there.

Try setting the throttle position.
If you're worried about the negative numbers in their map, just zero them out and try it.
I've modified Jamie's map and took some tips from the DynoJet maps and made a pretty good map (from teh seat of my pants dyno).
I get 48MPG on the highway and about 40MPG in light town traffic.

It has to be on the bike with the bike running. I'd do a reset on idle and full throttle to be safe. It sounds like it may not be calibrated correctly for your bike.
If that doesn't fix the stumbling, then I'd upload a blank map, then upload the map that you want. Kinda like "resetting it". Remember it takes a few seconds for it to save to the PCIII.
FWIW, I've emailed Fuelmoto several times for different mapsand never get a response.

Yes, they say they do.
I got good email responces from FuelMoto.
If you are not, call them. In todays SPAM age, many emails get blocked at different levels of servers.

Well, I borrowed a laptop and I think I have the problem licked.
Here is what I did:
Uploaded a zero map (bike ran like a lawn mower!!)
Uploaded a map I tweaked a bit (MP187-006). I added 5% to the 0 throttle at 1000, 1250 and 1500.
Enabled AccellPump with 90 percent sensitivity, 15% fuel and 20 engine revolutions.
Finally, I added 5% across the low end range via the face plate controls.
My bike runs so much better now! Gonna go for a longer ride when the weather improves to confirm rideability.
