Default 01 sporty pinging : update

Few weeks ago I posted a question about my sportster pinging with any octane fuel. I removed the headpipes that had been replaced from previous owner, Found the exhaust gasket was not sealing completely on front cyls. and bolts were not that snug causing a lean condition. rod tested last week and ping is now gone. I wasn't dressed for a longer ride, but wish I had been. Was nice taking the edge off so to speak and the 1200 runs great. I noticed the pinging late in the season of riding. Thanks to all who contributed their thoughts/ opinions
