1999 883 Becomes a Scrambler
By Kevin Bitter
It doesn’t matter what you have, any road bike has the potential to become a Scrambler.

Sportster Scrambler
This is also my dream build!
I already own and ride 3 different Harleys;
1. 2007 FLHTC Electra Glide Classic (103" Stage II)
2. 1996 FXSTSB Softail Springer Bad Boy Edition
3. 1983 FXRT Super Glide II "Sport Glide"
All I crave to complete my collection is a Sportster, and I've coveted a scrambler since I owned my first enduro bike, back in the 70's.
This is a cool rendition of the Sportster...but I've seen original XL models from 1958 or 1959 that came from the factory with high pipes, fork gators and knobby tires that appear as though the MoCo had this idea long before it became the current fad.
My XL scrambler would attempt to emulate the original, although an Evo motor would definitely be a LOT more user-friendly than the old Ironhead, IMHO.
