DK customs floorboards
Has anyone installed dk custom floorboards? If so, could you please post a pic. I am considering ordering a pair but I would like to see how far out from the bike they are when mounted. Picture on website is a side view and does not give perspective on how far out they extend.
Thanks

will try and take some before and after pics.
The adaptor they have developed has brought them nice and tight, much better than they were before. I had travelled for about 5k with the original fitting but felt they were about 3/4 inch too far out and it always felt like my feet sat more naturally on the inside edge of the board.
I was in the US on Sept/Oct so popped in to see them, proper Southern hospitality, and brought the parts back home on the plane with me.
They really do bring them closer, you just have to accept the fact that they are a set angle.
So now it is trying to find the balance...steeper angle gives more comfort but they are too wide.
less of an angle but they fit closer to the bike....

As you can see from the pics, the inside edge of the floorboard is exactly where the inside edge of the factory footpegs are.
The floorboards measure 4 3/4" from the mounting point to the edge.
The factory footpegs measure 4 1/2" from the mounting point to the end.
However, the floorboards allow you to lean more without grinding or dragging because they are only 1/2" thick. Factory pegs are 1 1/4".
Kevin (the K in 'DK') was always grinding the footpegs on the Sporty, but with the floorboards, he has yet to drag one of them.
Hope this helps.

Interesting. I have the same problem with grinding the foot pegs which is why I hesitate when purchasing new ones as I will grind them down too. May need to look into a set of floorboards. Thanks for sharing.
