Default No ignition

XL1200C 2010 model.when the battery fuse is inserted, the battery seems to be shorted out, voltage drops to below 4 volts. any suggestions? P.S. battery fuse in the fuse box.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. Was in Western Cape for a great holiday early last year!

If your battery is indeed shorted out then take it off the bike and get it tested. If it is indeed shorted out then the only thing you can do is scrap it and replace it. Your FSM gives details of three tests for your battery, to check its actual fitness.
