As you were...

so what's the scoop? Poor quality control? Bad customer service? I like the design they came out with, and two months backorder on a new product doesn't bother me.

cobra is fine. Just nothing to wait around for. If you like the 2-1. Go for it.

oh good, no deal breaker then. for a minute I thought Cobra might be that creepy guy in the room that seems nice enough until you actually talk to him.

Looks pretty sweet! According to Revzilla it is available now and the chrome pipes ship in 2-3 days and the black ones ship in 3-5 days.

Dennis Kirk site said the same thing, but I got a call from them a few hours after I ordered saying it was on backorder/unknown, so my next email was to Cobra. They got back to me this morning.

I'm actually totally cool with the sound of the stock pipes, it's just that, you know, more torques and stuff...

Understood. I guess it's more of a preorder type of thing. Well either way they look like nice pipes. Will be interested to hear how they perform.

I do intend to do a proper dyno session at Ray Price here in Raleigh; will be a good winter project when things are slow at the shop.
