Default Detachable sissy bar lock

OK, this is a stupid question, and I thought I saw it somewhere before, but now I can't find it.

I have a quick release detachable sissy bar and rack, and I got one of the locks for the darn thing. Now the problem is that the key is too tall to fit in the tiny space between the lock and the rack!

Anyone have this problem, and if so, what did you do to fix it? I thought maybe I could bend the key into a 90 degree angle and see if that works.

Once I get the darn lock off, I think I'll just put the old detachable bracket back on!

You could always use my favorite tool..

Seriously though, maybe if you posted a pic of the problem, we can eye ball it and offer up a real suggestion. I don't have experience with that particular device. Sorry... [:@]

If I remember correctly from a previous post, the lock needs to be turned over/around so the key slot faces up or in the opposite direction. Of course you first have to get it unlocked now and will probably have to bend the key to do that.
