Waving is Annoying

RE: Waving is Annoying
I'll return any wave. I don't care if it comes from a minivan, I'm just nice like that.
I DO get a little messed up when I hop from my bike to my Jeep and back. I'll wave at Jeeps from my bike, forget to wave at Jeeps from my Jeep, it gets all twisted. I notice that the Jeep community doesn't wave back nearly as much as the bike community though. Especially the new JK Wranglers... I think I got 3 of them to wave back now. They're too cushy, and thus primarily owned by soccer moms. As for the "harleyer than thou" attitude, I never noticed it. Back in '93-'95 when I rode metric cruisers ('81 Suzuki GS450L and '82 Kawasaki CSR750, neither one easily mistaken for a harley, at any range), I got waves from Harley riders all the time, they'd even initiate it. And those were some obviously metric piece of crap $1000 bikes.
I think its great that people take the time to wave to another. If anything, its nice to see other motorists behaving and waving at each other instead of flipping each other off and getting road rage. It WOULD get a little irritating if 50% of the vehicles on the road were bikes, and you spent more time with your hand off the grip than on it, which is the point of the OP. He didn't have a problem with the wave, just when it gets obnoxious with 200 bikes on the road.
