Default 2002 sportster Evo-lution

So far so good. Picked it up for $1900 with 7000 miles on it. Cosmetically the bike looked like hell but the motor is strong and has no leaks. I've done a lot to it to get it to where I want it. Going for a cool little bobberish tool around town bike.

How it looked when I got it back to the shop. 3 coats of spray paint on top of the factory original paint. What a mess!
Stripped everything down. The previous owner thought it would be a good idea to rattle can everything on the bike, while it was still on the bike. Took a while to strip all the paint off pretty much every piece of the bike but it was worth it.
Bike down to bare bones. Re painted the lower forks, air cleaner cover, belt guard, and rear sprocket. I also did the strut covers. I used Harley Davidson texture paint. The look is awesome in person and the motor on my dyna is texture from the factory. I'm a sucker for it.
Here's a shot of the other side. I sprayed the fuse cover, derby cover and primary chain inspection cover in texture too.
The front and rear fenders are painted gloss black.
The fuel tank is gloss candy purple. This coming week I'll put everything back together! Really getting excited for the finished product.

Looking good!
Just wondering. Did you run the VIN? The way the PO painted the bike, sounds like it might have been "borrowed".

Here is an update. I got the paint back today and mounted the front fender and gas tank. I got the pipes wrapped up and mounted as well. Tomorrow I'll focus on the rear fender.
