I know a number of ahhhh, 'pretty hard core bikers' that have been wearing that "gay stuff" for a long, long time....
Do me a favor though. Before walking up to them and calling them gay to their face, let me grab my camera, as I'd like to record the events that take place.
Believe it or not, many ride in all types of weather conditions, and all typeof elements, and certain leathers are worn for a reason. And most of these people could care less about making the correct 'fashion statement' when it comes to their bike, or the type of clothing they wear.

I also wear chaps not for any appearance reason, but for warmth in the winter and for safety when cruising the highways when it's cool enough to wear them. Somehow the thought of sliding on asphalt at 75 mph with just a little cotton between me and the road doesn't sit too well with me, so I prefer to add leather protection to the setup.
Which is the main reason every other real biker wears them.
Most of us certainly don't wear them at any other time, just like I don't go around with my helmet on at any other time as well. It's all for warmth andprotection when I'm riding, nothing more.

Hmmmm, I seem to recall you getting caught on the I State about 6 months ago and you stoping cause the cold winter rain chilled your bones so bad you had to stop, weren't you saying back then you were going to suitup next time weather was like that? Come onDallas, we all know you wear leathers when you're home. lol (j/k)

It's probably that 1200 of yours. You ride it so hard, getting only 35 mpg on it, that it gets so hot that the glowing motor keeps you warm.
